In Fremont, supporting one another is not just a slogan. It is a tradition built through service, gratitude, and reinvesting locally. That spirit was on full display earlier last month during the Veterans Day Dinner hosted by Fremont American Legion Post 391, where the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce gave back to several local organizations with meaningful donations that will have a lasting impact across the community.

The Neuschafer Community Library is inviting the community to get creative during Holiday Craft Week, with a drop in card making station available all week and several free, time specific craft programs scheduled Monday through Thursday.

Waupaca County law enforcement handled a wide range of calls from Nov. 4 through Nov. 12. Incidents included a reported burglary at a vacant home for sale in the Readfield area, a family disturbance involving a juvenile with a pencil in the Manawa area, an extortion complaint in Fremont, traffic hazards, medical calls, deer crashes, and routine 911 activity.

A special joint board meeting between the Village of Fremont, Town of Fremont, and Town of Wolf River will take place on Wednesday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Village of Fremont Hall Gym, 317 Wolf River Drive.

As the Christ Lutheran Church prepares for their annual Turkey Dinner, I can’t help but think of Grandma Ann Koehler, who always loved helping cut and make pies for the big day. Getting off the bus after school, what I can only describe as some form of torture, was her house smelling of cinnamon, apples, and goodness yet we had to wait until Sunday before we could dive into the pie ourselves!

Downtown Fremont will come alive with holiday cheer the Saturday after Thanksgiving as the community gathers for Frolic in Fremont and the Fremont Chamber Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 29.
