Residents and visitors are invited to experience a meaningful Christmas tradition as St. John Lutheran Church hosts its annual Drive-Thru Live Nativity at 8580 37th Avenue in Fremont.

The Neuschafer Community Library is inviting the community to get creative during Holiday Craft Week, with a drop in card making station available all week and several free, time specific craft programs scheduled Monday through Thursday.

Waupaca County law enforcement handled a wide range of calls from Nov. 4 through Nov. 12. Incidents included a reported burglary at a vacant home for sale in the Readfield area, a family disturbance involving a juvenile with a pencil in the Manawa area, an extortion complaint in Fremont, traffic hazards, medical calls, deer crashes, and routine 911 activity.

As the Christ Lutheran Church prepares for their annual Turkey Dinner, I can’t help but think of Grandma Ann Koehler, who always loved helping cut and make pies for the big day. Getting off the bus after school, what I can only describe as some form of torture, was her house smelling of cinnamon, apples, and goodness yet we had to wait until Sunday before we could dive into the pie ourselves!

Downtown Fremont will come alive with holiday cheer the Saturday after Thanksgiving as the community gathers for Frolic in Fremont and the Fremont Chamber Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 29.

The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce and Veteran’s Backyard Bash are teaming up to host a special Veterans Day event featuring former Navy SEAL and motivational speaker Phillip W. Koontz on Tuesday, November 11 at the Fremont River Deck, 204 Wolf River Drive.
