The end of summer means one thing in Weyauwega-Fremont, it’s time to head back to school! Students, parents, and staff are gearing up for another year of learning, activities, and Warhawk pride. Here’s a detailed look at what families need to know for the first week of the 2025 - 2026 school year.

🗓️ First Day of School

The first official day of school is Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

  • Soft Start Day – On this day, all 6th graders (as well as new 7th and 8th grade students) will have a “soft start” in the Middle School. This smaller-scale day helps students get comfortable with their schedule, meet teachers, find their lockers, and learn building routines before the entire student body arrives. Parents can expect lighter traffic at drop-off and dismissal, and teachers will be focused on welcoming students into their new environment.

  • Elementary Students will return in full swing beginning Tuesday, September 2.

  • High School students will return in full swing beginning Wednesday, September 3. For many families, that week will mean getting used to new bus routes, earlier bedtimes, and the return of homework at the kitchen table.

Reminder: Monday, September 1 is Labor Day, so schools will be closed.

✏️ Weyauwega-Fremont School Supply Lists

Coming prepared makes a big difference in getting the year off to a smooth start. The district has released its official supply lists for 2025–2026:

  • Elementary & STEM Academy: Basic classroom essentials such as crayons, markers, folders, #2 pencils, glue sticks, gym shoes, and tissues. Many classes also ask families to label items so younger students can keep track of their supplies.

  • Middle & High School: Binders, notebooks for each subject, pens and pencils, a scientific calculator (for higher math), and gym shoes. High school courses may require additional materials depending on electives — families should check syllabi the first week.

📝 Full lists can be downloaded from the district’s Back to School page:
