Carolyn P. Romanowich, age 80, of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Frontida Assisted Living in Kimberly. She was born on February 25, 1945 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Vincent and Maxine (Bellon) Ross. On June 26, 1965 Carolyn married David Romanowich in Milwaukee. Carolyn worked for Kohl's Grocery Store in Milwaukee for 20 years. She enjoyed watching her daughters compete in sports, golfing, bowling, trap shooting and traveling with Dave. Carolyn had a special love for animals, but especially dogs, of which she had many in her lifetime. She and Dave spent 20 years bouncing between living in Texas and Wisconsin before establishing a home base on Partridge Lake in Fremont, Wisconsin.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dave; two daughters, Tracy (Gregg) Piontek and Shelly (Jeff) Anderson; three granddaughters, Ashley (Brendan) Shannon, Abbey (Graham) Scott, and their children, Easton and Everett; and Jessica (Fiancé Jackson Myers) Piontek; two brothers-in-law, Rich (Janet) Romanowich and Marv (Ruth) Romanowich; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Brad) Byer and Karen (Bob) Makal. ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Roslyn Ross.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 2:00-7:00 pm at Nauti Turtle, 710 Wolf River Dr., Fremont. The Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont is assisting the family with arrangements.
