For Jon Friemark of Fremont, Wisconsin, February 14 wasn’t just another day on the calendar—it was a life-changing moment. Competing against 18 of the brightest high school minds in the region, Friemark emerged victorious in the Viterbo University Health Science Scholarship Competition, earning a coveted four-year, full-tuition scholarship to the La Crosse-based university.

A senior at Fox Valley Lutheran High School, Jon's dedication, academic excellence, and impressive performance in the competition set him apart, securing his place at Viterbo, where he plans to pursue a degree that will pave the way for a future in the medical field.


At the scholarship ceremony, Michael Alfieri, dean of the Viterbo College of Engineering, Letters, and Sciences, and Viterbo President Rick Trietley presented Friemark with the award, recognizing his outstanding achievements and potential.
