💼 About the Village of Fremont Clerk/Treasurer Position
As Clerk/Treasurer, the selected candidate will serve as the secretary to the Village Board and oversee a wide range of responsibilities including managing elections, processing licenses and permits, maintaining financial records, and assisting with budgeting, audits, and payroll. This position is a cornerstone of village operations and provides essential support to both residents and local government leadership.
🕐 Work Schedule
The Village is seeking one full-time employee (34–40 hours/week), but is also open to hiring two part-time candidates (10–30 hours/week each). A hybrid work schedule is available, with evening meetings required approximately twice per month.
💵 Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay: $25–$32/hour, depending on experience
Benefits for full-time roles include: WRS retirement, paid vacation, sick/personal days, and holidays
✅ Ideal Qualifications
High school diploma and 3–5 years of relevant office experience
Strong skills in recordkeeping, accounting, communication, and confidentiality
Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and general office software
Governmental accounting experience preferred
