Waupaca County deputies handled a variety of calls during the week of October 15 through October 22, 2025. The following incidents were listed in the department’s media summary logs.

Waupaca
Oct 15: 911 accidental call. Caller advised no emergency. Deputies cleared.
Oct 15: Traffic complaint on Highway 10 construction zone involving a semi.
Oct 15: Alarm calls at Faith Community Church and Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Both accidental.
Oct 16–17: Alarm activations at Piggly Wiggly and Schueller’s Great Expectations; no issues found.
Oct 20: Vehicle crash after driver swerved to miss a deer. Minor injuries.
Oct 21: Welfare check requested by ThedaCare Waupaca for a patient who had stopped responding to calls.
Oct 22 : Death investigation, A 911 caller reported a 28-year-old male unresponsive after striking his head. Deputies located the deceased subject. Medical Examiner notified.
Oct 22: Welfare check on female walking with bags, reported as disoriented. Deputies made contact; no emergency.
Oct 22: Family disturbance reported. One party stated a sister struck another on the head during an argument over a sweatshirt. Deputies responded.
Oct 22: Alarm at Premier Community Bank. Cleared after contact with staff.
Weyauwega
Oct 16: 911 call reporting intoxicated man entering a pickup truck on South Mary Street. Deputies located the subject and cleared.
Oct 16: Burglary alarm on Marsh Road. Deputies checked and found no entry.
Oct 21: Death investigation near County Highway X. Male subject located deceased.
Oct 21: Theft complaint reporting $27,000 missing. Investigation open.
Fremont
Oct 18: Citizen assist documented for transportation coordination.
Oct 20: Extra patrol conducted on Wolf River Drive following speeding complaints.
Oct 21: Business and school checks conducted. No incidents.
Oct 22: Two-vehicle crash with severe damage and unknown injuries on Highway 10 and 49. Logged as “Deaths.”

Oct 20: Traffic complaint on Highway 49 near Nottleson Road. Vehicle reportedly crossing center line.
Countywide / Rural
Oct 22: Welfare check following transfer from Wisconsin Lifeline. Caller reported youth who stated they had taken pills and were being bullied. Deputies located subject and provided assistance.
Multiple deer collisions, disabled vehicles, and routine school patrols logged throughout the week.
