FREMONT, WI â Get ready to cast your line and catch some funâWhite Bass Fest is making its big debut this Saturday, May 10th, at The Boathouse in Fremont, WI! Known as the White Bass Capital of the World, Fremont is launching a festival thatâs long overdue: a community celebration of fishing season, riverfront culture, and conservation.

Timed with the peak of the white bass run on the Wolf River, this free, family-friendly event kicks off at 1 PM and promises a full day of live music, raffles, food and drink specials, and ways to give back to the waters that define this iconic fishing village.
âFremont has long been the White Bass Capital of the World, and I really wanted to do something that would allow us as a community to celebrate this,â said Maggie Lind, co-founder of White Bass Fest. âThis event will not only honor our fishing heritage, but raise awareness about preserving our fish, wildlife habitats, and waterways. Conservation is vital to our livelihood in Fremontâitâs time we SCHOOL together and have a kick-BASS party!â

đśÂ Live Music & All-Day Festivities
Local favorite Rodello the Kidd hits the outdoor stage from 2 to 6 PM, bringing an energetic blend of country, rock, and folk. Outdoor seating, riverside vibes, and cold drinks will be flowing all day.
đ Epic Raffles â Including the Big Bass-ket
Win prize baskets donated by local businesses, including the coveted Big Bass-ket (valued at $250+). Every bucket of domestic beer or featured cocktail earns you an entry to win.
đ Food, Merch & Friday Kickoff

đ Giving Back to the River
All proceeds benefit the Lake Poygan Sportsmenâs Club, a nonprofit committed to restoring fish and wildlife habitats in the Lower Wolf River region since 1992. Check out the Conservation Corner on-site for info on rain gardens, shoreline restoration, and ways to get involved.
âAs two people who grew up in and love this little fishing village, we wanted to raise money for the folks doing the work to protect the wonder that is the Wolf River,â said co-organizer and Boathouse Manager Lizzy Abhold. âThis festival celebrates everything white bass season means to Fremont.â
