WEYAUWEGA – World-class jazz is coming to downtown Weyauwega as the Paul Cornish Trio takes the stage at the Gerold Opera House on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The concert runs from 7:00–8:30 p.m. and is part of Cornish’s national Blue Note Records Debut Release Tour.

Cornish, a Houston native, has quickly become one of the most talked-about pianists of his generation. His debut album, You’re Exaggerating!, is a nine-song set of originals showcasing his lyrical, dynamic style.
A Rising Star in Jazz
Cornish was one of only seven young musicians worldwide awarded a full fellowship to the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz at UCLA, where he completed his master’s degree. He has since performed across the globe with legends and innovators alike, including Joshua Redman, Louis Cole, Mark Guiliana, HAIM, Terrace Martin, Kanye West, and many others.
In 2023, Cornish was a finalist in both the American Pianists Awards and the Herbie Hancock International Jazz Piano Competition.
