The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce is once again bringing the community together for its annual Premier Sportsman’s Bingo, happening Thursday, September 18th at the Fremont River Deck.

The Upper Midwest Powerboat Association (UMPBA) returns to Fremont this weekend, September 6–7, for its two-day season finale on the Wolf River.

The Veterans Backyard Bash is moving to the Waupaca County Fairgrounds in Weyauwega on August 29–30, 2025. With live music, a 5K/10K run, cornhole tournament, kids’ activities, raffles, and fireworks, this year’s event is bigger than ever — and all proceeds benefit local veterans.

John Leo Robbert, age 55, passed away peacefully May 21, 2025, at home with his family by his side.

Gregory D. Koehler, 59, of Appleton, went to his heavenly home on May 20, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 3, 1965 in New London, to Darrell and Karen (Bartel) Koehler.
